A Speedy Morning Ritual For A Gorgeous Look

Mornings are tough. The snooze button is all too tempting, and no matter how early you wake up, there never seems to be enough time to get ready. But, fear not. Even in a rush, you can make it out the door looking perfect with a few of my favorite tricks for shortening your morning routine.

Prep for your early wakeup call the night before. Staying organized is key. Getting a head start by selecting and laying out your outfit of choice the night before, always reduces last minute morning stress. Don’t forget to include your jewelry, shoes, and any other accessories you might need.

You can also cut down time by styling your hair as you sleep. Braid your hair or twist it into a bun before you fall asleep and wake up to beautiful beachy waves in the morning. For a more texturized look—and cleaner hair—finish your look off with some dry shampoo. With countless formulas on the market, I’ve selected a few of my favorite products to help you find the perfect dry shampoo for you.

The ultimate classic that works miracles and smells like a tropical vacation.

Batiste, Dry Shampoo Tropical, $8

Vegan, gluten-free, and organic, this dry shampoo is all natural and works.

Rahua, Voluminous Dry Shampoo, $32

This isn’t technically a dry shampoo, but it does everything that you’d expect from a dry shampoo and then some. It soaks up oil, smells beautifully, and gives hair a cool, voluminous look.

Oribe, Dry Texturizing Spray, $44

Skincare and makeup rituals can be long and daunting, especially when you’ve hit the snooze button a few too many times. Streamline these important steps by choosing multitasking products. Instead of your normal foundation, use a tinted moisturizer or BB cream with SPF for an even complexion, a hint of hydration, and protection from the sun. There are so many amazing BB creams and tinted moisturizers out there. When choosing, consider how much hydration your skin needs and what kind of finish you’re looking for — matte, luminous, or dewy.

A five-in-one BB Cream that perfects, hydrates, brightens, repairs, and protects with SPF 35, prepping your skin for anything that comes its way.

Bobbi Brown BB Cream, SPF 35, $46

This beautiful skin tint with SPF is packed with hyaluronic acid to hydrate and help promote firmer skin.

Hourglass Illusion Hyaluronic Skin Tint, $55

Like I mentioned in step 1, staying organized is essential to cutting down time in your morning ritual. Organize your beauty products so that you know exactly where everything is. Separate your daily products from the rest of your makeup. Chances are you won’t be needing your glitter eyeliner or twenty different eyeshadows. Streamline the process, and save the experimenting for another day.

Finally—and possibly most importantly—coffee. Brew your coffee the night before, and serve it over ice for a quick jolt on your way out the door.
